Welcome to City Of Chester Triathlon Club more affectionately known as Chester Tri. The club was formed in 1994 and has grown over the years and currently has around 200 members. Whether you want to do sprint races or ironman distance, we at the club aim to support you in achieving your goals. We aim to cater for a wide range of abilities from GB squad members to complete beginners. So, whatever your level we are sure you will find something to suit you.

Astley & Tyldesley Road Runners
'Not just a running club but a social club'
Formed in 2000 Astley & Tyldesley Road Runners are always looking for new people to join their ever increasing membership base.
The club has a road, fell, and cross country section and regularly competes in races all around the North West.
However not all our runners are athletes, we have a beginners section of runners who just want to keep fit and run with a group of fellow runners.
We also have a fantastic social side and meet regular for days and nights out.

VLA Events
VLA Events, a non-profit organisation, was set up in 2003, with the Ramsbottom Off Road Duathlon, which ran for 5 years (Final Words on this race.) raising money for local resources and charities. We also provide multi-sport opportunities that are accessible and reasonably priced to all, whilst raising funds for charity. The races we organise reflect our ethos of 'try something different' with the experiance of completing a challenge being the aim. We also offer our race services (for a minimal fee to support our own races) to any clubs or organisations. Races can be advertised on this web site, along with details of any races that we help out at.
We also offer a race results service through http://www.ukresults.net and have equipment to organise small events. Traffic cones (40), stopwatches, banners, barrier tape, wooden posts (approx. 80) , metal stakes (25), various signs and arrows, etc. We have a 30 ft X 10 ft Marquee and a PA System for hire. This equipment can be borrowed separate of our services.
